New Name and Department
August 27, 2007 -- Ithaca, NY
SciCentr joined Cornell's Office of the Associate Provost for Outreach on July 1,
2007, at the closing of the Cornell Theory Center. Our physical location
in Rhodes Hall at Cornell University and our programming remain the
same. Our virtual worlds universe, formerly CTCUni, is now called
CUni or the Cornell Universe. Technical support for high-performance computing moved to the
Center for Advanced Computing.
CTCUni Software Upgrade
March 15, 2007 -- Ithaca, NY
In order to best serve our community, we are upgrading to a new version
of the Active Worlds server for CTCUni at the end of the Spring Semester
2007. Information about the upgrade process is now available on this site.

Lesson Plans Available
January 3, 2007 -- Ithaca, NY
The first set of math, science and technology
lesson plans are now available in the Participants
section of our web site. They are designed by Cornell SciFair mentors to
assist coaches and educators in the use of the medium. Coaches and mentors
must login to the web site to access them; please
contact us for login information.
Virtual World Summer Institute (VWSI) Leads the Headlines
July 31, 2006 -- Ithaca, NY
On Monday, July 31, 2006, the Ithaca Journal dedicated its lead article to a
description of the VWSI and Summer Intern programs at the Cornell Theory Center.
